The remedy: a quick dash to my local oppy, with only 30 minutes to closing time I had to be quick.
Just when I thought I had seen all there was to see, this little treasure popped into my sight.
A stunning piece of milk glass .
These cute linen coasters, they are really tiny, only a 2.5 " square (the lady tells me they are for resting your sherry or port glass on)..........think I'll find another use as I don't drink sherry or port.
Suddenly I no longer feel grumpy, funny that!
For more finds pop over to Sophie's and have a look.
What great finds - I love the coasters and the casserole dish!
ReplyDeletegreat embroidery on those coasters. lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love the milk glass-a lot!
ReplyDeleteI thought you didn't mind a sherry or two.
Just love the milk glass bowl, did you get it for one of your usual ridiculous prices ! Hope your feeling better, maybe a port on that coaster will fix up your throat!
ReplyDeleteNo I didn't Vick, don't get me started on the North Shore Vinnies prices....$15 for the milk glass, $8 for the casserole and $2 for the coasters which I thought was pretty good even though they are tiny!
ReplyDeleteps. I think if I had port I'd give it a red hot go!
That bowl is beautiful. That would lift my spirits too!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Zigsma, the bowl is awesome!
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely finds and they all blend nicely together.
ReplyDeleteOh hip, hooray, well done, I'd be smiling too ;) Hope you have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteDon't know which North Shore Vinnies you went to, but I have found Turramurra to be very much cheaper than Gordon where it's almost a crime to pick something up and not return it to its exact position.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know it was called milk glass. It's lovely. I hope I make it to my oppy today :)
